AN oil extract has anti-inflammatory activity inhibiting LPS-TLR4 pro-inflammatory IL-6 production. Raw 247.4 cells were co-incubated with LPS (1µg/mL) and AN oil (0.16-0.63%) or dexamethasone (20-80 µM) for 24 hours. Pro-inflammatory cytokine (IL-6) was measured from media supernatants by ELISA. The data represent the mean ± stdev of cumulative data from three independent experiments. **p ≤ 0.01 indicates a statistically significant difference compared to LPS-only group.
